I love pork chops.

Quick story…

After playing college ball, I was offered a job in England.  The trouble with England is the ban on smokeless tobacco.  I needed my fix so I had my buddy wrap sleeves of cans bought at Costco in the States and ship them over to me in new t-shirts.  Of course, the customs form just read, “T-shirts.”  It worked 50% - 60% of the time getting through.

My father figured out what I was doing and sent me an article or interview (I can’t remember) by Curt Schilling regarding how bad smokeless tobacco is and why he quit.  I read the article (my father was in Philadelphia back then — and so was Curt).  My father died soon after and I vowed never to use smokeless tobacco again.

So, after three years, I return to live in California, stopping in Arizona to see my mother.  Arizona has a new ball team.  I was excited although sad to see the Phoenix Firebirds become history.

It’s a understatement to say I was enthusiastic about witnessing the new Diamondbacks.  I gone without playing or seeing baseball for sometime.  And, my home town had a home team… in the bigs.

The first thing I saw was Curt… and, a dip in his mouth.

Trust me, I am not calling him out on dipping or what he does in his private life.  But, the last thing my dad every gave me were words by this guy from some Philly magazine or newspaper and everything was total bullshit.

Everyone must know the guy loves the soap box and will say anything while on it.  I think we all remember his over-cooked ham routine in front of congress.

It’s all about Curt.

Anyway, in my book, the guy is full of shit.  It’s as simple as that.

Sorry Curt but you are a asshole.  Somebody take your mic and soapbox away.

Please.

Sorry to bore. In the music mood. Never seen this video.

For the kids.

Holy fucking shit. Best find of the year. Camper Van Beethoven - (I Was Born in a) Laundromat.
